Rewriting Steps

Familiar with it

First, you need to be familiar with your old writing or news report from others. A key point is fact-checking. Make sure it will be worthy of your work.

Blueprint

What is the main point? How long will the report need to be? What kind of style is needed? (Is it for a newspaper, a magazine, or online)

Build

Now, develop your new writing based on the blueprint. Add a paragraph a time, and use the most objective and accurate words you can.

Edit

Even though you are the writer, not the editor, you still need to edit your writing. It includes checking grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
