Journalism

In terms of Journalism, I have experienced different education in this field from two different cultural backgrounds. My learning in journalism in China is more about writing and reporting; in the United States, I get more practice and experience opposites.

Below I will share photos I took in the United States, and expose the story and my experience behind those photos.

A skateboarder sits on the Wooster Bridge to rest in an afternoon of Aug. 29th in 2016.

This photo is a symbol of the beginning of my photojournalism. At that time, the teacher of Photojournalism suggested us to go out and experience it. I happened to ran into him resting on the Wooster Bridge after riding a skateboard.

This This is a group of photos of the David Traylor Zoo of Emporia. I still remember it was a late winter afternoon in 2017. The animals did not speak but I felt it all.

Photo story

This is a photo story showing Xiao Han's love for music, piano.

To produce this video, I spent about 2 weeks with Xiao Han, and took thousands of photos. This let me taste the experience and feelings of being a documentary photographer.
